Overtime is nestled within town in Dempsey Hill along with a cluster of pubs, bars ,restaurants and niche furniture outlets. If you happen to have a extreme craving for beer , you will be mesmerized by the stella quality of the beer they offer - of which is what they've been so famous for.

Overtime is one of the select few F&B outlets in Singapore which serves the renowed and much talked about Starker beer. This award winning beer is a Double Gold Medal Winner in the Asia Beer Awards 2010 in the “Wheat” and “Pilsner” category. The mugs of beer are serve directly from the barrel served in a chilled cup, the serview crew are not only friendly but also replaces your cups every now and then to ensure that your starker beer is always chilled. a drinking experience that i've not yet seen in any other pubs.

The Starker Aromatic beer has a rich golden yellow appearance, not only so it's light and has a clean, light and citrus after taste.

This beer is definitely suitable for new or light beer drinkers( and my mom is a testiment to that!) Not only is the beer smooth but also really refreshing which is unlike any of the other types of beer i've tasted.

Apart from quality beer, they seve a delightful array of local and western crusine thou i'd prefer the local dishes which includes satay and even a new but yet famillar dish to many of us- mee tai bak fried in char kway teow style! (MUST TRY!)

The dish offers a twist to what many of us are famillar with. Instead of kway teow, the mee tai bak offers a springy and interesting twist!

Personally i've always been a fan of char kway teow but it's terribly hard to find a store who is competent enough to deal with the level of sweetness and it's at a pub in dempsy that i've found the ideal char-mee tai bak!

(in a different form, yes but nontheless AWESOME)

and did i mentioned that they were all extremely affordable?

you know what, let's let the pictures do the talking! :D

CHOCOLATE RESEARCH FACILITY REVIEW

On the 17th March 2010 at around 1pm at Raffles City Shopping Center, a friend a i decided pay the new outlet a visit to not only view the extensive amount of flavours CRF caters but also to redeem our prize for the contest for a free bar of chocolate.

It was then when i specially made my way over that i was informed by one of their staff that i had to have the e-mail printed. The issue here isn't just about the inconvenience of having to print the e-mail out but the attitude your service crew gave. Upon setting sight on my iphone she snapped at me saying that i had to print the e-mail out.

instead of having to snap at us the consumers it would be advisable to re-phase the sentence by adding in key words such as please and thank you. Also that if it was possible for such redemption to be made without printouts as the issue of global warming has been on the rise and it about time we did our part for mother earth.

I have written in a e-mail regarding this and they've yet to send a reply back which yet again proves their level of efficency and competency.

Chocolate Research Facility is a relatively young Company and has made consistent and ongoing efforts to reach out to the community. However, I think to make their good will seem more sincere, the company should look into these small things that affect the consumers.

I've tried their chocolates and i have to say that it's definately refreshing and a new added twist to the foodie paradies we call singapore however $8 is truly a high price to pay for a small bar of chocolate.

After being rather disappointed with the service i've received at CRF, i walked passed awfullychocolate and despite having just walked pass. the service crew made their greetings and asked if we were interested in the products they had, coupled with a warm and friendly smile. This i believe should be the image CRF should have portrayed when i made my visit.

Mom super duper happy with her new specs

Hui Ting Jomel and I being silly.
we had too much fun :P
________________________________

It was the tv ad that got me interested in this amazing product which I’ll come to experience. The Crizal Experience was simply out of the world!
I mean like come on with a pair of specs that could prevent smudges, scratches, dust, glare and water. It’s an amazing deal.

I believe that many of you guys out there who play any sports or sweat a lot like me( raises my hand) would know what a pain in the butt it is for you to have to clean your specs every now and then. Not forgetting the fact that you’ll be sweating profusely and after time your specs is going to be so scratched that even cleaning it with holy water ain’t going to help.

Anyway it was with the help of Catalog Magazine and Essilor( the company responsible for Crizal lenses, Varilux, and Transition) That my mom was able to go through this experience.

Thing was that I didn’t really expect it to be that much of a difference but since it was free the first thing that came to my mind was: why not ?

So I met up with Hui Ting from Vibes Communication and Roped in Jomel too since I’ll most prolly need someone to help me out when I’m picking out my frames at Capitol Optical conveniently located at Raffles City Shopping Center on the 3rd floor.

Upon my arrival Hui Ting greeted us with a smile and sat us through an introduction about the all new Crizal lenses together with a product demonstration. She started showing us how this product would fight off the 5 major enemies of my everyday lives which are Glare, Smudges, Scratches, Dust and Water Droplets. i saw the immediate difference when Hui Ting put a few droplets of water on two different lenses ( a Crizal-treated lense and your typical lense- the cheapo ones). and the Crizal-treated lenses were a whole lot more water-resistance, water flowed down quicker which enabled us better vision! :D

While we were doing the product demo( which I was so impressed with) I started to enquire for my mom which I found out that she could be entitled to the Varilux experience ! For 老花眼, which I know would definitely help my mom with vision, and so I gave up my Crizal experience for my mom to try out not only the Crizal Experience but also the Varilux and Transition experience.

And so my mom embarked on this journey which I’ll come to regret a little.

When she received her specs after everything was done she was so impressed with her specs she started bragging to me about how her collegues noticed the change in her glasses almost immediately when she steped out of the office and thought she bought an extra pair of sun glasses.

Also about how awesome it was for her to see the world around her in a different light. Like literally everything would seem so much clearer.

She was most pleased with the progressive results and she could now read and see everything clearly without having to adjust her specs every now and then and I never saw her cleaning her specs with her clothes ever again.

Jealous much. :p

I think I’m going to join my mom and in time Live Life in the Clear.
